The Client

Since their founding in early 2013, the BitX vision has been very clear: to make money frictionless and universally accessible. The team are doing this by building an intelligent and open global financial platform, leveraging the most optimal technologies available, including the blockchain.


The Challenge

BitX approached us to redesign their brand, website and app components with a move to give the company a more consumer-friendly approach and create an umbrella brand that would lead to the roll out of several digital products around the evolution of money.

How did we execute on our strategy?


Our Solution

Just as the internet has empowered billions of people around the world by giving them access to virtually free information and laying the foundation for unthinkable levels of human innovation, BitX is laying the foundation that will give everyone access to a truly global and open financial platform.


Creating a mark that matters

We chose to highlight the ‘X’ component of the name as it represents the seamless exchange of funds. We also chose to keep the logo type clean but futuristic, structured and neutrally weighted.

A digital product by nature

For the website we were tasked with the challenge of communicating all the product breakdown but also creating a human connection. Although BitX is selling a digital product, their support team surpasses consumer expectations. Defining a balance between an approachable connection while showcasing the digital nature of the product was imperative to the success of the overall site.

Once we all understood how the brand functioned in a digital capacity, we explored how it formed in the App.

While we did not design the entire App interface, we did iterate portions of the App based on our new identity and how some aspects of the App had to change to be suitable to the new brand.
